About Bluewhite Pathfinder

Bluewhite’s Pathfinder transforms any brand of existing orchard or vineyard tractor into to a fully autonomous fleet, capable of executing multiple tasks, such as spraying, herbicide, discing, mowing, or harvesting, with high precision and operating efficiency. Pathfinder uses the unique fusion of multiple sensors, LIDAR, cameras, and GNSS, enabling safe navigation in every crop and application without the reliance on GPS/RTK or cellular connection, which is not available in all operating conditions.

The question « What’s the worst that could happen? » is essential when discussing GNSS for autonomy.

Real-world scenarios can be challenging and unpredictable - imagine a machine wakes up without knowing its location or orientation, sensors are not synchronized properly, or while operating the machine impacts an obstacle on the edge of the field because of a bad position, or poor surveying techniques and data handling.

Scenarios like those emphasize the criticality of precise and reliable positioning, not only from hardware but process. For situations where high levels of redundancy and diagnostic capability are required and to minimize the risk of the worst-case scenarios, Hexagon | NovAtel’s GNSS hardware and software solutions are designed and built to provide the level of positioning integrity, reliability and redundancy needed for autonomous applications, from driver assistance through to partial, conditional and full autonomy.

The industry is moving away from research and development and highly technically supervised operations to production and scale with machines being in the hands of farmers...What’s the worst that could happen?
