Our autonomous weeding robot, the Farming GT, distinguishes crops from weeds using a AI-driven camera and removes weeds with mechanical tools in the inter-row and in-row area. Over the years, we have acquired the world’s largest annotated plant image database and trained an AI that reliably recognizes over 60 types of crops. The custom knives and tool control allow the Farming GT to remove weeds as close as possible to the crop. It can operate without supervision, day and night, with a maximal output of 10 ha in 24 h. We have more than 40 robots in operation that have been removing weeds on over 1000 fields in 8 countries. Our goal is to use AI and robotics to simplify sustainable farming and make it affordable for every farmer.
