Vasanth Ganesan is a Partner in McKinsey & Company’s Digital & Analytics practice based in New York. He leads McKinsey’s Agriculture technology service line, where he serves several incumbent and early-stage agriculture companies on using technology to drive value for the business and end customers. These are innovations shaping the future of the agriculture industry such as use of Artificial Intelligence to reduce food wastage in the fresh produce supply chain and using robotics on farm to overcome the recent labor challenges. In addition, Vasanth also leads the McKinsey’s Global Research on Farmer Insights, this research is used by 100+ McKinsey clients annually and is commonly referenced across leading publications in agriculture. Vasanth also co-founded McKinsey’s Internet of Things (IoT) practice, serving clients across industries globally. Before McKinsey, Vasanth was an investor at multiple venture capital firms investing in Enterprise software companies and a Product Manager at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
